 REIKI

Reiki has had a positive affect on all forms of illness and negative conditions. This includes minor things like head or stomach aches, bee stings, colds, flu, tension and anxiety as well as serious illness like heart disease, cancer, leukemia, etc.

The side effects of regular medical treatments have also been reduced or eliminated. This includes the negative effects of chemotherapy, post operative pain and depression as well as improving the healing rate and reducing the time needed to stay in the hospital.

Reiki always helps and in some cases people have experienced complete healings which have been confirmed by medical tests before and after the Reiki treatments. Reiki is a catalyst for renewal and well-being, which can also result in healthier choices, and initiate the release of stress and negative emotions that we carry within the body.

Reiki is not medicine—and it doesn’t treat specific symptoms or disease.

It is a stream of complimentary, intelligent energy. As such, it heads right where you need it most. Reiki works in conjunction with regular medical or psychological treatment. Reiki energy works in harmony with all other forms of healing, including drugs, surgery, psychological care or any other method of alternative care and will improve the results.

During treatment, Reiki energy flows from the practitioners hands into the client. Clients remain fully clothed, only removing their coat and shoes. Clients will lie or sit comfortably on a massage table. The Reiki practitioner will place their hands on or near the body, in a series of hand positions, allowing the Reiki energy to flow.

What one experiences during a Reiki treatment varies, though feelings of deep relaxation are usually felt by all. Many feel a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and surrounds them.

As the Reiki energy encourages one to let go of all tension, anxiety, fear or other negative feelings; a state of peace and well-being is experienced. Some drift off to sleep or report floating outside their bodies or have visions and other mystical experiences. No worries if you fall asleep during our session, Reiki will do it’s work for your Highest Good no matter what state you are in. At the end of the treatment, one feels refreshed with a more positive, balanced outlook.

Reiki works best when received on a regular basis. It is not the one hit wonder of healing modalities, the healing goes deeper and deeper as you receive it more regularly.

Wear comfortable, non restrictive clothing.

Removing all metal jewelry and crystals so the energy can flow unadulterated is best.
In Person: Please refrain from wearing scented products: including perfume, essential oils, strong deodorants, or body sprays.

◊ Prior to your session, complete and submit the Client Form.

◊ Be well hydrated and not hungry. Avoid eating a heavy meal right before, but we want to make sure hunger doesn’t distract you during the session.

◊ If possible, refrain from or lower your caffeine consumption the day of your treatment. Do not go into caffeine withdrawal, but instead opting for black or green tea, or dark chocolate on the day of your session.

◊ Please refrain from alcohol and non prescription drugs on the day of your session. Both should also be avoided for 24-48 hours after treatment.

◊ Take some time to reflect before your session. Is there an intention you would like to set for your session?  Are there things you wish to discuss with me before? Are there specific areas of your body with pain, illness, or tension that you’d like me to focus on?

To receive distant Reiki healing you don’t have to do anything special, but here are some recommendations to get the most out of your treatment once you’ve booked a distance Reiki session and let me know what you’d like me to work with for you,

1) Set up your relaxation space – choose a place where you feel comfortable, relaxed, and safe. You’ll want a pillow for your head and perhaps a pillow or bolster for under your knees if your low back gets tense from lying down. If you choose to be seated, make sure you choose a comfortable armchair or recliner where you can fully relax. Grab a blanket even if your space is warm, since your body may go through temperature changes during the session and you might get chilly. An eye pillow if optional, but a great way to relax your eyes and forehead and having your eyes closed can help you focus more on your body’s sensations and feelings.

2) Turn off notifications and limit distractions – this is your relaxation / Zen time so turn off or mute your devices, and let your family or roommates know that you’re not available during your session time.  If the dog needs a walk, do that before your session so they can relax too.
If you’ve chosen to use Zoom for your Distant Session, be sure to install Zoom on your device & have the Meeting ID & Password to log in. Have your earbuds or headphones ready.

3) Get comfortable – Lie or sit down in a comfortable position, pets often enjoy snuggling up to their owners and sharing or amplifying the energy of distance Reiki sessions. Cats often seem to prefer distance Reiki sessions than dogs but it also depends on the pet.

4) Open your mind to receiving healing energy – distance Reiki differs from in-person sessions in that (obviously) I’m not in the room with you. Otherwise the energy you receive from me is the same.  Because most people aren’t familiar with the concept of a healing modality being able to transcend space and time to affect someone far away, a sort of leap of faith is involved. Saying an affirmation before your session can help your mind accept the energy that’s being transmitted to you, such as “I’m open to receiving healing on the physical, emotional, and mental levels” or simply “I’m open to whatever is ready to heal in my mind and body at this time.”

Take a moment to write down any thoughts that popped up during your time, often the most golden ideas come to you in these quiet moments.

After your session, it’s always good to drink a glass of water when there has been energy movement. Go about your day, and take note of anything that comes up; you might think of a particular situation or person, something that’s been bothering you that you are ready to address, or you might have some ideas and inspiration drop in.

Reiki is a wonderful way to experience that feel good, pick me up, all is ‘right with the world’ harmony you feel when your energies are balanced, mind, body and spirit. By doing regularly scheduled sessions, you can enhance that wonderful feeling of Harmony.

This depends on what you are hoping for from Reiki.  As a natural healing method, it is best to allow some time for Reiki to have an effect, so a series of treatments is going to be more beneficial than a single treatment in most cases.
